Perfect- The Imaginary Standard
Perfect is what we believe perfect to be. Each person has their own idea of what perfect is. We set our own high standards and expectations and when we do not meet those standards we beat ourselves up? Re-read that if you have to but please grasp the stupidity of it.
We put so much pressure on ourselves and how we do things- great when you are striving to reach a long time awaited goal- even then I would say be gentle with yourself- yet so stupid if you are putting pressure on yourself with every single task you complete in your life. Worse than this is that some get so obsessed with having things "perfectly" done (their way) that they expect others to do them that way as well- oh boye!
Do yourself a favor and release the pressure (and need) to be perfect. Remember that perfect means many different things to many different people. It is an imaginary standard you have created for yourself and others so it is easy to beat yourself up when you do not reach that perfect plateau and easy to yell at someone when they haven't done something to your standard of perfection.
You are amazing as you are! Try your best with all that you do, be a person you can be proud of, love yourself and remember that perfect is an imaginary standard because it has a different meaning for every single person on this planet.
By the way- you are perfect as you are;)!
