As humans, there are times when we desire change, yet there are also times in our lives where we become extremely dedicated to our habits and daily rituals. So much so that any interruption to these daily routines and habits can make us cranky, angry or even switch a "good" day to a "bad" one. Yes, we humans we are creatures of habit! It is important that we step outside and recognize our routines and how they effect us.
What happens to us when we are forced to try something new: resistance. The body, mind and soul puts up the barriers and protection and tries to keep out whatever 'new' is trying to come in. The mind knows what to do with the routine, it has mastered all the thoughts and actions involved with the well known routine so as a new experience tries to enter, it automatically resists it and rejects it.
But hang on a second. If you give it just a moment, and you allow this change in, your mind will accept it and begin to work in a new direction, creating fresh emotions, thoughts and allowing your body to regenerate new energy. Before you know it you are grateful this new experience has presented itself into your life. Not long after do you begin to feel revived and renewed!
Resistance is part of being stubborn- having to deal with my own stubbornness and unwillingness to change, believe me I know what I am talking about! Do yourself a favor, love yourself enough to allow new ideas, new experiences into your life. Your body, mind and soul will benefit. I promise!
Most importantly, you deserve it!
